Me and Hesse have connected on many levels and i have to say that for me the mans works are everything i could wish for from an author. Luckily i had left reading his books until an age where i could appreciate them more. Curtis should be in everyones collection, too many groundbreaking, earth moving songs to list on here. Suffice to say that Curtis has inspired and influenced my life on many occasions with his unique blend of lyrics, music and production. Without Curtis there wouldnt be the 'Soul' that we know today. ive just listened to it front to back for the hundreth time and what can i say about this performance. if i could travel through time this would be my first stop. moving, from beginning to end. NEVER fails to 'raise the spirit. the first three tunes rip it up. if you thought you knew 'Chain Gang'....or Cupid.....The 'spirit' was definately out there in the front row for this performance. words cant do it justice.
