Rum was slaverys currency, was at the heart of prohibition and in recent years has been at the centre of international trade wars. What a fantastic book.

    Me and Hesse have connected on many levels and i have to say that for me the mans works are everything i could wish for from an author. Luckily i had left reading his books until an age where i could appreciate them more. His descriptions of 'the journey' through life are breathtaking and are for me essential reading

Part of the chairmans musical heritage and very proud of it i am too. thanks to T Blue for this part of my musical education

    ive just listened to it front to back for the hundreth time and what can i say about this performance. if i could travel through time this would be my first stop. moving, from beginning to end. NEVER fails to 'raise the spirit. the first three tunes rip it up. if you thought you knew 'Chain Gang'....or Cupid.....The 'spirit' was definately out there in the front row for this performance. words cant do it justice. EVERY one a winner. Shelved by RCA? for twenty years!! Mr Soul at his peak. (*****)
