One of my favourite blogs (Evolving Excellence) the ultimate in Lean thinking. A very quick post as its meditation time for me now. Fab (the book) is about creating and consuming, a concept that i first heard of from a prominent Artist a few years ago. I have allways listened closely to the brother because not only is he allways at the vanguard of ideas but he was also the first person to mention the Knowledge Economy to me back in the mid to late 90's (which started me on this journey towards 'knowledge')
So its with Mr Recneps from Nithdale in mind that i fly this post out. I'll finish with a question.
"Is the belief in technology just as limiting as the old political/religious dogmas? "
Keep your eyes peeled for the Indian Rope Trick !!!
i pulled that quote from a work of art that i have........limiting in that once again there is a belief system now in place (technology) that is being vaunted as the 'new messiah'
once again the populus has something new to 'believe in' first it was mythology then philosophy, religion followed by politics, science and now technology.
There allways seems to be something emerging to put ones (lost) faith in other than the knowledge of self. what strikes me is the huge ever widening gulf between thems that 'know' and thems that don't. for me technology is the latest smokescreen. Received FAB yesterday and cant wait to read it. stuck into a marketing book called Brand Hijack at the mo which is interesting as it proposes the new marketing strategy of letting the consumer take control of the brand.
